Description

Strain in the Lattice presents an architectural abstract composition built from intersecting arcs, planar forms, and linear pathways. The work balances structural weight with controlled movement, creating a sense of tension held in equilibrium rather than release.

A dominant red–orange field establishes heat and momentum, offset by deep blue and neutral grey forms that act as stabilising elements within the composition. Black linear marks traverse the surface with purpose, guiding the eye through overlapping zones without fragmenting the structure. Subtle metallic accents are embedded sparingly, reading as deposits or traces rather than decoration.

The composition retains clarity at a distance while rewarding closer inspection through layered surface detail and deliberate spatial relationships. The overall effect is one of pressure, containment, and engineered balance — a composition that feels constructed rather than gestural.
