Description
This work is defined by tall, compressed vertical forms that feel scraped into place rather than cleanly constructed. Dark columns are scored and dragged through pale, weathered fields, leaving visible abrasions, fractures, and uneven edges. Thin linear elements and architectural outlines intersect the surface like exposed framework, partially buried and partially resisting erasure.
The composition holds a deliberate tension between rigid structure and disruption. Geometric forms suggest towers or supports, but they are interrupted by raw passages, smudged transitions, and areas where the surface appears worn back or scarred. Nothing settles comfortably; lines hover, break, or fade, creating a sense of barely contained order.
The process remains visible throughout. Scratches, layered veils, and scuffed passages record revision rather than conceal it. The surface feels flinty and austere, with an emptiness that carries weight rather than calm.
This is not a polished architectural vision, but one shaped by pressure, erosion, and insistence — a structure that remains upright after interruption rather than untouched by it.
