Description

This work is constructed through interlocking curves, layered textures, and a deliberately restrained palette that prioritises balance over display. Broad white and grey forms overlap and fold into one another, creating a surface that feels built rather than gestural, with each element given space to coexist.

Circular structures act as quiet anchors within the composition. Their rounded edges soften transitions and guide movement across the surface without interruption. Deep blue centres introduce focus and depth, functioning as points of calm concentration rather than dramatic contrast. They hold attention gently, stabilising the surrounding forms.

The surface remains materially active. Subtle ridges, scraped passages, and patterned textures are left visible, recording the process without overwhelming the structure. These variations create interest through proximity and repetition rather than conflict.

There is no single dominant gesture. Instead, the composition relies on cooperation between forms, allowing overlaps to resolve smoothly and transitions to remain open. The absence of sharp tension gives the work longevity, making it suitable for sustained viewing rather than momentary impact.

This is a composed, measured piece that favours continuity and clarity. It does not demand attention but rewards it, offering a sense of steadiness through structure, repetition, and controlled variation.
