Artist Statement
This work explores the quiet tension between structure and openness. Layered geometric planes intersect without collision, creating a sense of suspended balance. The piece reflects an interest in constructed spaces that feel inhabited without being occupied.

Composition & Balance
The composition is built from interlocking forms arranged vertically and horizontally. Overlapping planes establish depth while maintaining a stable, grounded structure. Negative space is used deliberately to give the forms room to breathe.

Colour & Contrast
A restrained palette of pale blues, warm ochres, soft greys, and muted neutrals creates a calm visual field. Subtle contrasts guide the eye through the composition without disrupting its overall stillness.

Line & Movement
Angular edges and directional planes introduce gentle movement across the surface. The eye travels naturally between forms, following implied pathways rather than explicit lines.

Texture & Surface
