Pressure Points in Sequence – Fine Art Print

Description

This work is built around repeated circular forms pressed into a fractured grid. The surface shows clear signs of abrasion and revision — scuffed whites, scraped edges, and uneven tonal fields that resist a clean finish. The circles feel weighted rather than decorative, as if applied under pressure and held in place by force rather than balance.

Linear frameworks and curved trajectories intersect and interrupt the composition, creating a controlled tension between system and disruption. The checker-like passage at the centre introduces friction, breaking the flow and preventing the repetition from becoming orderly or resolved. Geometry is present, but it is unsettled — lines hesitate, arcs overlap, and boundaries remain porous.

Process is left exposed throughout. Layers appear dragged back, partially erased, then reasserted. The surface carries a flinty austerity, where repetition becomes insistence rather than harmony. This is not a composition seeking symmetry or calm; it records a sequence of decisions that remain visible, unresolved, and deliberately held in tension.
