Offset Load – Fine Art Print

Description

The surface is constructed with controlled precision, built around a fractured circular form divided into opposing fields. The material reads as compressed and stressed rather than expressive, with fine cracks spreading across the surface like pressure lines held in check. These fractures are cumulative, not explosive — the result of force sustained over time.

One half of the circle is pale and chalked, worn back and abraded until it feels depleted. The opposing red segment is denser and heavier, carrying residual heat and compression. This imbalance is intentional, creating a system that appears calibrated yet uneasy. The inner white arc feels subtractive, as though a portion has been removed, further destabilising the structure without breaking it.

Thin linear accents operate as measurement marks rather than embellishment, reinforcing ideas of alignment, offset, and control. A small dark spherical form sits outside the main structure, acting as a counterweight rather than a focal point — a quiet adjustment that prevents equilibrium from ever fully settling.

The process remains visible throughout. Cracks, joins, and surface wear are left exposed, documenting a structure that continues to function under uneven load. This is not geometry seeking harmony. It is geometry enduring pressure — precise, restrained, and unresolved.
