Muted blues and greys establish a grounded, introspective field, while ochre and rust-toned elements introduce warmth without sentimentality. These colour shifts feel embedded, as though carried forward through memory rather than applied for emphasis. Dark negative space contains the form, preventing collapse and reinforcing compositional authority.

The surface remains visibly worked. Edges overlap, textures vary, and transitions are deliberately imperfect. Nothing is smoothed into uniformity. The process is left exposed, allowing the history of assembly to remain present across the face.
