Description

This work is constructed through intersecting arcs, circular forms, and segmented planes that collectively assemble a human visage. Geometry is not applied as overlay or decoration; it operates as the underlying structure from which the face emerges.

The composition balances density with clarity. Repeating circular motifs guide the eye across the surface, while the facial profile remains legible within the complexity. The geometry does not overpower identity; instead, it defines it, allowing form and figure to coexist without hierarchy.

The surface is richly worked and tactile. Layered textures, visible joins, and uneven passages record the process of construction rather than conceal it. Colour is distributed with intent: ochres and golds introduce warmth and humanity, deep blues and dark greys provide containment, and lighter neutral tones create intervals of relief.

Despite the visual complexity, the piece remains composed. There is no sense of excess or unresolved tension. Each element appears placed through consideration rather than impulse, giving the work a feeling of resolution and confidence.

This is a portrait built from structure rather than expression. It suggests identity formed through pattern, repetition, and constraint — a figure shaped as much by architecture as by emotion. The work invites sustained viewing, revealing its coherence gradually rather than immediately.
