Description

A stark profile is cut from a pale, marble-stained ground, its edges crisply scored and held in place by fine, gold-toned linework. The face reads like a carved plane rather than a soft portrait—flat fields, hard turns, and a mouth reduced to a clean red incision. Behind it, concentric arcs stack in deep blue, black, and red, with distressed textures and scuffed passages that show wear, interruption, and revision. 

The circular system feels engineered but not tidy: layers overlap, surfaces abrade, and the geometry carries a faint sense of pressure, as if the form is being built and restrained at the same time. Metallic-toned accents and high contrast sharpen the structure and keep the image disciplined, even where the surface breaks into grit and grain.
