This piece is built like a face that’s been assembled under pressure—not painted to flatter, but constructed to hold together. The surface reads as worked, layered, and weathered, with crackle, scuff-like texture, and panels that feel set into place rather than blended. Nothing is smoothed over. The joins are part of the meaning.

A hard vertical division runs through the centre, a gold seam that behaves like a boundary and a brace at the same time. One side carries cool slate and steel tones, the other leans into muted ivory and metallic warmth, with a controlled red stain that reads like a single honest interruption—not drama for drama’s sake, but a mark that refuses to be tidied away.
