Measured Intervals – Fine Art Print

Description

This work is built from a sequence of layered rectangular forms arranged in a quiet but deliberate grid. Each block carries its own surface character—smooth, cracked, metallic, or weathered—while remaining part of a larger structural order. Thin black lines traverse the composition, acting as measuring marks that both connect and divide the elements, creating a sense of controlled spacing and pause.

The restrained palette of whites, silvers, warm rust tones, and muted greys allows surface texture and balance to take precedence over colour dominance. Subtle irregularities in edge and finish introduce human presence into an otherwise architectural framework, preventing the composition from becoming rigid or purely mechanical.

Artist Note
This piece explores how rhythm can be established through spacing rather than repetition. The intervals between forms are as significant as the forms themselves, shaping the overall tension and calm of the work.
