Artist Statement
This work explores presence without confrontation. Two stylised forms face one another in quiet proximity, suggesting connection, pause, and mutual awareness rather than dialogue or conflict. The piece was developed during a period of intentional restraint, focusing on reduction rather than accumulation.

Composition & Balance
The composition is anchored by the opposing profiles, positioned to create equilibrium across the surface. Rectilinear planes provide architectural stability, while asymmetry prevents the image from becoming static.

Colour & Contrast
A muted palette of soft greys, ivories, and warm neutrals establishes calm. Subtle tonal shifts add depth without distraction, allowing the composition to remain measured and composed.

Line & Movement
Fine linear elements guide the eye gently across the surface. Gold-toned fractures introduce visual rhythm and suggest underlying structure rather than surface ornament.
